Rosie Sanders: Magnolias

Jonathan Cooper is delighted to announce an exhibition of new paintings by Rosie Sanders, on view from 24 June – 1 August 2026. Renowned for her luminous, large-scale watercolours of flowers, Sanders turns her attention in this new body of work to the fleeting splendour of magnolias in spring.

Inspired by visits to a remarkable private garden filled with flowering magnolia trees, Sanders captures the intensity and transience of the season: branches transformed almost overnight into clouds of pale pink, crimson and white blossom. Drawn to the quiet drama of the spring garden, her paintings evoke both the exuberance and fragility of nature in bloom.

Celebrated internationally for her innovative botanical painting and awarded five RHS Gold Medals, Sanders continues to push the boundaries of contemporary floral art with works of extraordinary scale, colour and sensitivity.
