Lily Corbett Gale is a British painter whose work is deeply informed by decades of study in traditional techniques, colour harmony, and the spiritual dimensions of art. Her early formation under the visionary artist Cecil Collins RA shaped her disciplined approach to drawing and her understanding of painting as a practice rooted in perception, clarity, and inner life. She later completed an MA in Sacred and Traditional Arts at The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, further grounding her work in historical methods and symbolism. Working primarily in egg tempera, she draws inspiration from sources such as fourteenth-century Persian miniature painting, sacred geometry, and the changing atmospheres of nature. Alongside her studio practice, she is an experienced teacher and has contributed extensively to the educational programmes of The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.
