Jonathan Cooper is delighted to present a solo exhibition of still-life paintings by Craig Wylie at the inaugural Chicago Art Fair, taking place at THE MART from 7 to 10 October 2026.
Wylie’s work explores and extends the tradition of still-life painting. Working from direct observation, he places individual objects against carefully constructed fields of colour, giving familiar subjects an unexpected presence. Influenced by Old Masters including Chardin and Velázquez, while remaining closely engaged with contemporary painting, Wylie combines precise observation with strong colour and carefully balanced compositions.
