Jonathan Cooper is delighted to present Within A Whisker, a solo exhibition of new pastel works by wildlife artist Gary Stinton.
Featuring a striking series of portraits of big cats and other remarkable creatures, the exhibition reflects Stinton's lifelong fascination with the natural world. Renowned for his extraordinary command of pastel, a medium of almost pure pigment, his works capture not only the physical presence of his subjects, but also their individuality, dignity and quiet intelligence.
The exhibition takes its title from the artist's belief that, despite our increasingly modern lives, we remain "within a whisker" of the wildlife that surrounds us if we choose to look.
